Dr. David Taylor was born in Royal Oak, Michigan and grew up in the north Detroit suburbs. He earned his B.S. in Microbiology and Biological Sciences with honors from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Dr. Taylor attended the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1999. After graduation, he completed a 3-year residency in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Hines Veteran’s Administration Hospital and Loyola University Medical Center in suburban Chicago. Dr. Taylor published several research papers during his residency regarding great toe joint fusion. Dr. Taylor joined Community Podiatry Group in August 2002. He is Board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS) in both Forefoot and Rearfoot Reconstructive Ankle Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS). Dr. Taylor is a staff member at Genesys Regional Medical Center, McLaren Medical Center, Hurley Medical Center and The Surgery Center.
 
Dr. Taylor lives in Flint with his wife and two daughters. He is an active member of the Rotary Club of Flint and a member of the School Board at the International Academy of Flint. He enjoys “playing” golf, skiing, running, ice hockey and gardening.

Dean W. Singer, DPM

Dr. Dean Singer was born in New  York and raised in Southfield,  Michigan. He attended Michigan State University, and graduated in 1988 with a B.S. degree from the Lyman Briggs School of Science. Dr. Singer graduated from William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois in 1992. He completed his residency in Podiatric Surgery at Straith Hospital for Special Surgery in Southfield,  Michigan. He is Board Certified in foot surgery by The American Council of Podiatric Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Singer joined Dr. Wittenberg at Community Podiatry Group shortly after completing his residency in 1993. He is a staff member at Genesys Regional Medical Center, Hurley Medical Center, McLaren Regional Medical  Center and The Surgery Center. Dr. Singer has since been involved with the Genesys residency program and residency clinic, and is a member of the American Association of Podiatric Physicians and Surgeons (AAPPS).
 
Dr. Singer lives in Orion Township with his wife, dog and cats. He is the best golfer in the office and enjoys tennis and volleyball.

Shawn L. Reiser, DPM

Dr. Shawn Reiser was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in New Jersey. She earned a B.A. in Economics with honors at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. After her undergraduate work, Dr. Reiser remained in the Detroit area and worked in health care consulting. Dr. Reiser attended the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and completed a 3-year surgical residency in Foot and Ankle Surgery at The Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Reiser joined Community Podiatry Group in August 2006. She is board qualified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS) in both Forefoot and Rearfoot Ankle Surgery. She has a strong interest in sports medicine and diabetes as they relate to the foot and ankle. She has done research on leg and foot ulcers in diabetic patients as well as patients with sickle cell disease. Dr. Reiser is a member of the American  College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) and the American Association for Women Podiatrists (AAWP).
 
Dr. Reiser was recently married and lives in Fenton. Her husband is pursing his doctorate in health economics and policy at The University of Michigan. She enjoys running, shopping, traveling and is an avid sports fan of professional baseball, football and basketball.
