Dr. David Taylor was born in Royal Oak, MI and grew up in Birmingham, MI. He earned his B.S. in Microbiology and Biological Sciences with honors from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. After his undergraduate work, Dr. Taylor remained at Colorado State for a year of graduate school researching Tuberculosis. Dr. Taylor attended the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1999. After graduation, he completed a 3-year residency in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Hines Veteran's Administration Hospital and Loyola University Medical Center in suburban Chicago. Dr. Taylor published several research papers during his residency regarding great toe joint arthritis.
Dr. Taylor joined Community Podiatry Group in August 2002. He is Board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) in both Forefoot and Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery. He lives in Fenton and has three children (Lauren, Emily and TJ). He enjoys scuba diving, photography, alpine skiing, fitness/running, ice hockey and gardening.
Dr. Dean Singer was born in New York and raised in Southfield, Michigan. He attended Michigan State University, and graduated in 1988 with a B.S. degree from the Lyman Briggs School of Science. Dr. Singer graduated from William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois in 1992. He completed his residency in Podiatric Surgery at Straith Hospital for Special Surgery in Southfield, Michigan. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Lower extremity Surgery. Dr. Singer joined Dr. Wittenberg at Community Podiatry Group shortly after completing his residency in 1993. He is a staff member at Ascension Genesys Regional Medical Center, Hurley Medical Center, McLaren Regional Medical Center, and the Surgery Center of Genesee County. Dr. Singer has since been involved with the Genesys residency program and residency clinic.
Dr. Singer lives in Orion Township with his wife, dog and cats. He is the best golfer in the office and enjoys traveling, long walks, and being outside around the house.
Dr. Shawn Reiser was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in New Jersey. She attended the University of Michigan where she earned a bachelor degree in Economics. She subsequently attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and completed a three-year surgical residency in Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. She is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) as well as the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM). She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), the American Association of Women Podiatrists (AAWP), and serves on the Medical Executive Committee at the Surgery Center of Genesee County.
Dr. Reiser joined Community Podiatry Group in August 2006. She has over 10 years’ experience in sports medicine and diabetes as they related to the foot and ankle, and has conducted research on leg and foot ulcers in diabetic patients as well as patients with sickle cell disease. Dr. Reiser is on staff at Ascension Genesys Medical Center, Mclaren Flint, and Hurley Medical Center. She sees patients at the Flint office as well as the Genesys Wound and Hyperbaric Center.
Dr. Reiser lives in Fenton with her husband and son, Jacob. She enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is an avid sports fan and active in several volunteer organizations, including the Junior League of Flint.
Dr. Rory Gilhooly was born in Oak Lawn, Illinois and grew up in south side and suburbs of Chicago. He earned his bachelor’s in Biological Sciences from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI and went on to obtain a master’s in biomedical sciences with a focus in Healthcare Administration from Rosalind Franklin University. After graduation from the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, he completed surgical residency training in Madison, Wisconsin in 2024 and is excited to work in the Flint Community.
Dr. Rory is interested in general podiatric care, elective foot and ankle surgeries to relieve pain, wound care, and limb salvage. He is a podiatrist who believes in connecting with his patients and working as a team to get the issue resolved. In his free time, he likes to scuba dive with his fiancée, Abbey, and travel with family.
